i talked to daft punk and they said, we arent really sure about doing this. we have a certain vision for what we want to do and i think you should bring all these different people in and see what happens. they thought it was going to be a crazy week of meetings and they were right. the week was crazy. they ended up having all these meetings with the different composers and of course, they were very excited to meet me. we talked about different ideas and i said, i think its cool if we create a hybrid score that is electronic and orchestral. daft punk said, ok, that sounds good to us and they wrote this crazy music on the spot. when we finished the first day of meetings, we called them up and said, we can do this. they didnt even know if they were going to sign on. and they said, sure, lets do this. the next day we started working on it, and that was it. we had an orchestra in place, we had our keyboard players, we had our synth players, and that was it. it was very exciting, and we were all really happy. we called their orchestrator up and said, we are trying to get this done as fast as possible because we dont have a lot of time left before we have to start the scoring. we ended up hiring a couple of days. it was almost literally a week and a half. d8a7b2ff72
