I have tried all the fixes recommended above however I am still having the same problem. After having done each of the methods above and then restarting my computer all i get is a black screen upon restart. I have tried attaching a new monitor to my laptop however i still get the same black screen, only with no OS selectable. If anyone has any suggestions on what I could try or what is even causing it I would greatly appreciate it. My laptop is a panasonic CF-30 Toughbook cn30-f4a model 5 series and its running a windows 10 professional edition.
I purchased a used laptop off of craigslist from a guy at a local restaurant supply. Its a panasonic CF-30 Toughbook cn30-f4a model 5 series. I already tried the fix listed here from this forum and it did not work. I have already wiped the HD and installed a clean copy of windows XP but its still not working. If I do manage to get into the OS it boots straight into tablet mode. I can go into tablet mode by pressing f1 or f10 at startup if that helps.
