Battery Core is a sample editor that has been built on the basis of the same feature-packed technology used in NI's DAW software, such as note tracking, velocity, midi learn, effect chain, and midi control mapping. New users will also enjoy a friendly, intuitive workflow that makes it easy to get to grips with using Battery Core. Experiment with multi-layering and editing sounds for maximum effect. All of NI's great sound engine plugins and sample content, including the updated core engine, additional sample content, and more, are seamlessly integrated in Battery 4 Core, making it the ideal sound engine for all of your analogue and digital sound processing.

A new feature introduced in Battery 4 is the Recording Gauge. This gauge visually shows the inputs that are active at the moment. You can put in a stopwatch and time a sound as it is played, recorded or sampled. (The sound can also be automated using a clip feature within the Record panel). The menu inside the Head shows all the components with this recording on.
I've sometimes wished that Battery could be a little more intelligent with its output. At the moment, the way in which instruments are selected for grouping in a Cell is by way of checking if they have the same name. You can't have two cell libraries with one instrument having the same name in them. So if you're using an instrument plugin (other than Battery itself) and you want it to be in a Cell, you have to remember to move it all to the corresponding cell, and reposition it. It would be great if there was an option to sort grouped Cell libraries alphabetically. d8a7b2ff72

Battery 5 features a new instrument installer. This allows you to install an instrument into Battery right from the Battery menu (as opposed to the old days of dragging the instrument out of a folder into the Instruments folder). As well, you can now assign bus sends. Previously you could send the bus send to another instrument, but not a Cell.
Open C: Free your sounds from the tough quantizing of the factory sample format and process them with the uncompromising algorithm. The OCF (Open cell format) features of the BATTERY 4 library make the process even easier. You just plug in the files and it processes the sound on its own. All samples are organized into two categories - ANP and OCF. All the samples are written with an algorithm that determines the best sample rate for sound playback and music without any compromise. You can easily adjust the settings and convert the samples to any format youd like, and youll always get the same results.
Battery is compatible with 32 bit and 64 bit Windows software, and it is also compatible with Mac and Linux operating systems. The battery works fine even with the 64-bit system.
