the lack of any air traffic control in fs2000 was the most disappointing aspect for me. air traffic control interaction is a key element in flying and should have an equally large role in a flight simulator such as it does with fs2000s competitors. this is really a shame because there is so much air traffic going on at the major airports. if microsoft intends fs2000 to be a serious simulation of flying civilian aircraft, it cant ignore this oversight. hopefully, a future patch will remedy this problem to an acceptable level. with that said, the rest of the audio features are adequate.
the last major disappointment with fs2000 is the small selection of aircraft. there are only five new flyable aircraft. the rest are new with the most important addition being the boeing 767, which is actually a retrofit from the last version of the microsoft flight simulator series. fs2000 should have included the new boeing 757-200, boeing 737-500, boeing 767-300er, boeing 747-400, boeing 767-300, and the boeing 737-600. microsoft should have included the boeing 777-200 and boeing 787 dreamliner-300er as well. if you're a serious pilot and would like to fly all of these aircraft then you'll have to wait for an update. the commercialization of the aircrafts would have been a great addition as well. something as simple as the fedex package delivery fleet or the airline industry. a good example of this would be the boeing 777. in the fs2000 version, there were no long-range 777s in the game. if you wanted to fly a 777, you had to get the retrofit model and there was no option to buy the real thing. if only microsoft had a partner to help out. 81555fee3f1
