when you open the cities xxl map editor you should be able to drag buildings and vehicles into the map and place them where you want them. the vehicles can be moved by clicking and dragging the building they are attached to and they can also be moved on the ground by using the ‘move vehicle’ button (top left corner). there are also some buttons on the right side of the map, those are used to edit the map and they are for examples: ‘duplicate’, ‘insert vehicle’, ‘delete vehicle’, ‘insert buildings’, ‘delete buildings’, ‘move vehicle’ and ‘auto select buildings’. the ‘insert buildings’ and ‘delete buildings’ button are very useful as they let you place new buildings and delete buildings from the map. d8a7b2ff72
alright so i want to make the transfer because if i leave my papercraft on here, i won't have a place to download them from anymore, and because people like to see what other people find. but because i'm moving them over to my own site, i'll still be able to keep a copy here if i want to. so i want to make sure you're okay with that.
i'll add the files in the description later, but the link to the papercraft will be here, so you can download and use them as you wish. i'll also try to be better about checking if the papercrafts are okay with being hosted here and on my website. so i hope you'll bear with me and use the papercrafts, and if you want to be able to download the file, just leave a comment telling me that you want a link to the download.
edit: i have decided to make it so that the models are only downloadble on my website, so it's not possible to download them here any longer. this has been made possible through the help of one of my best friends, and for this i would like to thank him. i hope you're okay with it, and i hope you still enjoy the papercrafts!
a: you can use the built-in keymap editor to assign what key will do what, but this is not always the case. the keys are named advanced, flight, graphic, navigation, sound, steering and vehicle. for example, graphic is the key to activate the map window. if you are not sure what key is doing what, you can always just try it out.
once you downloaded the rar file you should now be able to open the cities xxl map editor with the file you just downloaded. the map editor is very simple, you just drag and drop the buildings you want into the map and you can also place vehicles into the map. the editor also has a nice zoom in feature that will zoom you in to street view. one thing you might wanna keep in mind is that when you download a map from the website, sometimes the map is kind enough to include a pdf version for download in the zip file as well. i suggest you download the map from the papercrafting hub itself first and then just upload the files into your map editor and then later on you can export the map as a zip file in the editor itself.
