hello. i am a year old pc from 1997. i was in safe mode but when i did the c:\windows\system32\regedit i couldn't find any safeboot folder. so i uninstalled that key and i restarted but it says "windows has restarted successfully". then i was in a situation where i cant boot in any mode, i tryed a lot of things but nothing worked and i'm almost desperate.
i have a problem when i first installed windows vista, i clicked on the link from the site to register the sound driver, but when i tried to open the registry key it was already there and i had no way to register my sound card. when i started the computer it gave me the prompt to press ctrl-alt-del to restart, so i did and it went straight to the login screen. my password worked and i logged in and then i was at the desktop. i noticed the background was the same as my previous password, and then it said windows cannot find the specified registry key. i then opened the regedit and found the key to register the sound card and i tried to open the regedit and i get the following message "the page can't be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.". so i tried to open it again and i get "the page can't be displayed because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. no signature was included with the code and the code is not certified by microsoft or verisign. to continue to the website, click the following link: ". i then tried again and i got the same message.
hi, im having the same problem as the article describes. but i dont think i can use it as i have a xp installed, and i canot boot into safemode. i tried the fixes in the article, but no luck. i get the same message on the bootscreen as it says "the page can't be displayed because an internal server error has occurred", but nothing happens when i try the fixes. i am not 100% sure that i have the safe modereg.hkey_local_machine_roaming installed, but i have no idea how to check this. i have a zd1211b wireless card and i dont really know how to check if its installed. any ideas? d8a7b2ff72
hi, i just found a way to enable my safe mode. i went to file explorer in the top right corner and clicked on the gear icon. then i went to the following: system and then disk. i then clicked on the drive where safe mode is installed. i then clicked on the drive where i installed the safe mode. i then clicked on the start button and i was then able to access safe mode.
hi, thanks for the tutorial, it worked perfectly! i have a problem tho, i have this problem sometimes when my computer is on: the screen stays black but the light is on. the only way i can get to safe mode is to press ctrl+alt+delete. is there a fix for that?
okay, so i did a google search and found a similar issue and i tried the fix from that thread but it didnt work for me. do you think i should remove the drive where the safe mode is installed? i have been trying to fix this for hours.
thanks for the writeup! i have been looking for a way to fix my computer from safe mode, all day long, without success. i have already done all the steps you mentioned, but unfortunately, nothing. i would be very grateful if you could fix me! thanks again.
hi, i finally found a tutorial that works. i have a quick question for you though. i tried to do the fix as you described and i followed the steps to the letter. however, the file is still not in the safe mode folder. why?
first, if you are using a laptop and want to attach a usb sound card, you may need to enable the usb 2.0 ports in your bios. to do this, boot your computer in a setup program, such as windows 7, and find the bios. look for a setting that says usb 2.0 ports enabled. enable this setting, and save the changes. while youre working, keep the usb connected to the card. make sure to close any programs that are using the usb ports.
