If you like you may have access to crack your own music or software for free, but I do not support stealing. If you want to use a legit product, then buy it or stop downloading them. You steal it or what?
In the plugin world, the ones who use the $1000 (on the rare occasions) plugin will be the one's we would never question their motives or quality of work. These people are the ones who dont use their money, but save up to buy plugins they really want and still use cracked plugins. Where as the other people who use the $200 plugin arent necessarily better then the ones who use the $1000 plugins. they either found those plugins in shops or their friend have them. Maybe someone like you has tried to ask them for some of their software and they tell you its $1000 or that they cant give it to you (and for some people this would be true). So in the first case youre talking about rich, people who buy plugins (someone with that view would see it as stealing anything though), and in the second the 100-1000 people who have no money and only use cracked software. To me, the world is made up of the two types of people.
I do believe that cracking a software is wrong, but that is just me. The soft world does not make as much money as the hardware world, so if something is cracked, its because it costs next to nothing. So if someone can make some money off it, theres no wrong in that. I think if Wave was soooo concerned about it, they would make it impossible to make money off it.
There arent any flaws in the system so far as I see it. You can program or buy an ipad, but if the ipad is cracked then all the applications are the same and the ipad would lose all its value. This is the problem with the digital world. All the products out there are cracked, have a free alternative, or have an open source alternative (in the case of software). However, not everyone has $1000 to spend on a product when they want it (if they had the $1000 they would buy the product). As a consumer, you are just as screwed as if you had bought the product. So I dont think its in anyones best interest to get their feelings hurt over someone using a cracked product. This is the same even if someone is buying a free software and they dont give a fuck if it has been cracked. 42d8ba546e1
