peter hager has asked for patience and contact him on what he is learning on developing this (eventually) 64-bit.. from the folks at x-plane simulation you can expect a 64-bit compatible build of x-plane for the airbus a320 and the airbus a380, namely x-plane 10.51.2 for.
and then it flies. i tried it on x-plane 11.01 and 10.51 with 64 bit with no issues. i did use a slightly older version of x-plane 10 on one of my windows 7 64-bit machines before and it worked fine. what a great plane, one of the best to fly, easy to set up, good for daytime and night flying, and fun. it seems somewhat light and not overly heavy in flight, but then they are still as heavy as the 747's and this a380's weight is a little less than a 747's, so it would fly lighter than a 747 if it was loaded with fuel. i flew it to and from san francisco and back a few times. i have not flown the a380 yet, but i have flown the a350 and a330 on my mac and they were fine as well. i do have some concerns with x-plane 11.08, my latest update. when i changed the default x-plane build to 11.08, i lost all of my input slider values and flight plans. i was flying a plane with the default x-plane build and when i changed it to 11.08, the sliders and the input values on the right side of the screen did not work at all. i was able to get back to the old build, but i had to go back to where i had been flying the plane to save my flight plans and sliders. i then saved my flight plan, and the sliders and values are working now. when i left the default build, it just took off and flew as expected and now i can't get it to work. i hope the x-plane developers will get to this soon and fix this problem. i love the plane and it is the first plane that i flew in 64 bit x-plane, and i will fly it again. and i will recommend it to my friends. now if i can just get the input slider values to work in the new build, then i can get the a380 to be a very good airliner. i want to change the a380 to boeing 747 and a 737ng for the a380, but the a380 will not be able to handle a 737's weight without more than a little trim in the flight profile. peter hager is a great aircraft designer and this is a very good, fun to fly plane. d8a7b2ff72

i always get a twinge of regret from the past when i still see peters aircraft sold here at the store.. look at vskylabs/aerobask aircraft/price point and then peters. i know neophytes may be taken in with the stated focus on system accuracy and such (i certainly was). but in my case lesson most certainly learned.
