Dean Lin has overcome many personal challenges, including eating disorders, depression, and being in the closet his entire life–coming out when he moved to California at the age of 17.

Dean grew up in Queens, New York. He was a best-selling author when his first book, Dean’s Way Out, was published.

Dean is a mental health advocate, creator, and works in the entertainment industry, specifically in Unscripted Television.

Dean has given a TEDx talk, appeared on BuzzFeed, starred as an extra on SyFy’s The Movie Show, and filmed a commercial with Curology. He has also directed several short films and documentaries.

Dean has worked on shows such as The Friends Reunion, Cardi B Tries, Carpool Karaoke, BET Awards, and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. He has worked at Paramount Pictures, The Academy, ViacomCBS, Fulwell 73 Productions, Critical Content, and more. Dean is currently a Development Manager at Center Drive Media.
